Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented 2D Designer to join our team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for translating conceptual design ideas into accurate, execution-ready technical drawings. You will collaborate closely with interior designers, site supervisors, and project managers to ensure seamless on-site implementation within established timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Layout Design: Prepare comprehensive 2D technical drawings for residential and commercial interior projects, including accurate floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, cross-sections, false ceiling plans, electrical layouts, and detailed working drawings.
- Modular & Custom Joinery Detailing: Create precise production and working drawings for modular furniture, custom wardrobes, kitchens, wall paneling, partitions, and decorative interior elements.
- Site Coordination & Measurements: Take accurate site measurements when required and convert them into working CAD drawings. Coordinate with site teams to resolve drawing-related queries during execution.
- Quality Assurance & Verification: Verify all dimensions, levels, material specifications, and technical details before releasing drawings to the execution and vendor teams.
- Revisions & Documentation: Incorporate design modifications promptly while maintaining organized version history and documentation according to company drawing standards.
- Timeline Management: Deliver all assigned drawings within project deadlines without compromising precision or quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a 2D Drafter or Interior Technical Designer in residential and commercial projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD (2D) is essential. Familiarity with drawing standardization and layer management.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of interior construction details, joinery details, material properties, modular furniture standards, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) layout integration.
- Site Execution Knowledge: Ability to read architectural plans, conduct site surveys, and solve practical execution challenges through revised drawings.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly with cross-functional teams, clients, and site contractors.
